Working with Claris, an Apple company to clarify a technical detail on Harmonic Studio Authenticator (HSA). While we wait, we’re doing something more important: talking to the people who’ll actually use this.
At the Claris Community Live event, we asked: “Would FileMaker accounts as an external identity provider solve a real problem for you?”
Enough people said yes that we’re scheduling conversations with them.
The sequence is important here. If we build based on our assumptions, we could optimize for the wrong things. First we need to understand how teams handle authentication today, what’s working, what’s creating friction.
THEN we can build something that fits the actual workflow.Some of the questions we’re asking:
– How are you handling web forms that need to identify users?
– Paying for an external identity provider you’d rather not need?
– Skipping Claris Studio because anonymous forms don’t work for your use case?
