Jean Mizero
Jean has spent over a decade in software and web development, starting in graphic design before discovering that the real challenge wasn’t making things look good—it was making them work beautifully for users. He speaks five languages and though he is softspoken, he’s not afraid to speak up in meetings, especially when he thinks there’s a better approach. His presentation “Fear is Not the Enemy” captured his philosophy: the real danger isn’t being afraid, it’s becoming complacent because of fear.
Jean champions intuitive, accessible interfaces that actually solve user problems. He’s the one asking hard questions about people, processes, and whether what we’re building truly works for its intended purpose. His expertise spans front-end development, UI/UX design, and WordPress, but his real value is understanding how people interact with technology and finding the simplest way to improve those experiences.
Originally from Rwanda, Jean spends a month each summer back home with family while working remotely for Harmonic. When he’s not designing or coding, you’ll find him playing soccer, flying drones, exploring new tech, or settled in for a good movie or binge-worthy series. He’s been happily married to Elodie since 2022.
