Anthony Nguyen
Anthony’s been coding since he was twelve, starting by reverse-engineering websites to figure out how HTML worked. What began as curiosity about Starcraft custom maps led to a self-taught journey through web development and eventually FileMaker integration work at his previous job. When he was ready to make a move, a connection through the FileMaker community brought him to Harmonic about five years ago.
Anthony’s the developer we call when nobody else can figure something out. Whether it’s complex data syncing, portal integrations, or getting FileMaker to authenticate against Active Directory, he tackles the problems that are expensive, time-consuming, and outside most people’s comfort or bandwidth. He doesn’t consider himself a specialist in any particular technology—to him, they’re all just tools to solve whatever challenge he’s handed.
When he’s not solving Harmonic’s hardest problems, Anthony creates 3D character art and explores GPU programming and graphics rendering. He’s also been getting into Japanese city pop lately and knows where to find the best bun rieu in town. As the oldest of three kids in a Vietnamese immigrant family, he’s always been the one figuring things out—a skill that serves him well when Matt needs someone to tackle the impossible.
