Alex Jeane
Alex is the quiet, thoughtful type who was one of the first to give an internal Ten Minute Talk on User Experience, and it was well-received. He’s been working with software since high school, but found his path through technical writing before discovering FileMaker. Three years ago, he joined Harmonic and earned his FileMaker 19 certification, bringing his English degree to technical problem-solving.
As an engineer in the Low Code department, Alex works primarily in FileMaker, integrating it with SQL and external APIs, while exploring newer tools like Studio and Connect. His diverse professional background gives him a unique perspective on how different users interact with software. What he most appreciates about Harmonic is the trust granted to employees and the complete absence of blame culture.
Alex has been married since 2020, and when he’s not coding, you might find him co-hosting “The Feature Film Podcast,” which he started in 2022. He’s also known for exploring obscure music and shares his home with two cats and a dog. His philosophy is lifelong growth, which explains how a creative writing major ended up building databases and talking about movies.
