Eric Clark
Eric started building databases and running startups in his early twenties with his college bestfriend, which taught him that the best technical solutions are worthless if people can’t
understand them. Since 2017, he’s specialized in FileMaker development, combining his love of math, order, and design with a talent for making complex concepts feel approachable. Every once in a while, during discussions about knotty software problems, he’ll casually reference something like Bayesian statistics—and then explain how it actually applies to the issue at hand.
As Director of Program at Harmonic, Eric’s the one who keeps development teams aligned and projects moving forward without losing sight of the bigger picture. He orchestrates collaboration across different technology stacks and makes sure everyone understands not just what they’re building, but why it matters. His approach combines strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving, ensuring that solutions actually solve the right problems.
When he’s not managing programs, Eric’s a classically trained musician with curiosities that span mathematics, AI, psychology, urban planning, philosophy, economics, and more. He has a deep appreciation for mid-century modern and Bauhaus design, enjoys chess, and finds inspiration hiking scenic trails. He’s the kind of person who can connect patterns across completely different fields and somehow make it all relevant to the project at hand.
