Mark Modesti
Mark discovered his passion for helping people communicate through an unusual path: volunteering to speak at corporate quality circle meetings launched his management career, and decades later, preparing a TED Talk called “The Argument for Trouble” made him realize he’d rather work with ideas than logistics. When early retirement was offered, he jumped at the chance to focus on what really fascinated him: helping people express their expertise authentically.
Mark’s role at Harmonic focuses on making sure the software wins don’t stay buried in project files. As Client Success Manager, he captures the moments when custom software actually solves real problems and turns those into stories that resonate with future clients. He gets a kick out of creating and helping others develop content, presentations, and success stories—both for internal and external use—all with the purpose of helping Harmonic and its clients succeed.
Mark has been married for 38 years, has four children, and treasures time with his two grandchildren. He’s led a weekly Bible study for nearly two decades, is active in his Anglican church, and spent years facilitating leadership roundtables at Christian colleges. A lifelong explorer of ideas, he’s just as likely to be reading about business strategy as theology or psychology.
