Josh Monroe
Josh is the digital sentry who keeps watch over Harmonic’s systems—and those of our clients—around the clock. When something goes wrong at 2 AM, he’s the one getting the phone call and jumping into action to fix problems before clients even know they exist. His role evolved from his previous work with Matt and Steve as an IT admin, and now he’s the early warning system that lets Harmonic stay ahead of potential issues instead of just reacting to them.
Josh’s approach is all about prevention and preparation. He monitors, troubleshoots, and alerts the team so we can either resolve issues before clients feel any impact, or at minimum give them a clear situation report when something does surface. It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes work that makes everyone else’s job easier—and keeps clients confident that someone’s always watching over their systems.
When he’s not monitoring servers, Josh is an avid open source and Linux enthusiast who can take plants from his garden, convert them to paper, hand carve wood, make ink, and combine all of that into three-dimensional prints. He’s also a father trying to keep up with his son’s voracious appetite for life and a little mayhem here and there—though we’re not sure where the kid gets that from.
