Matt Monroe
Matt’s a co-owner of Harmonic who somehow manages to keep servers running, networks secure, and performance optimized while also mentoring the entire team and smoking perfect Prime Rib or brisket for company gatherings. As CTO and Director of Managed Services, he brings a unique combination of technical expertise and leadership that helps keep both the tech and the people at Harmonic operating at their best.
With a Bachelor of Music in Composition from Wheaton College, Matt approaches problems with both analytical precision and creative thinking. He lends his experience across multiple technology stacks to the AppTech and Low Code teams and shares his project management wisdom throughout the company. Whether he’s troubleshooting a server issue or helping someone work through a complex project, Matt has a knack for building solutions that actually stick.
When he’s not keeping Harmonic’s infrastructure humming, Matt’s usually got a guitar in his hands or is planning his next trip to Colombia to support his non-profit The Emiliani Project. He and his wife Debbie have two girls, and the whole family is passionate about the hands-on work they do there. Back home, Matt’s active in his church community and enoys an occasional hazy IPA—preferably after successfully deploying a particularly tricky system update.
