Setting up Efficient JavaScript Writing for FileMaker Developers

Yes, FileMaker AI is here and exciting. But long before AI showed up, JS was a native part of the FileMaker platform. Even though it’s old news, it is still worth exploring and mastering so that we can solve UI and computation problems in FileMaker to the joy of our clients.

In this two part session (December and January), Jeremy Brown of Integrating Magic LLC and JS in FM will provide a deep exploration into using JS in FM. In December he will, remotely from Orlando, make a case for learning how to write efficient JavaScript by using modern tools and techniques. He’ll show how he creates widgets for clients each week.

IN the second part, Jeremy will be with us in Dallas to walk you through setting your machine up for using these tools. He’ll guide you on what to download and how to start writing JS efficiently. At the end of these two sessions you will have a great start for efficiently creating JS in FM widgets. Whether you’re already using JavaScript or are just beginning your journey, this exploration in two parts will inspire you to create more widgets to solve client problems.
